| A. |
Design developmentally appropriate learning opportunities that apply technology-enhanced instructional strategies to support the diverse needs of learners. Candidates: |
| 1. provide resources and feedback to teachers as they create developmentally appropriate curriculum units that use technology. | |
| 2. consult with teachers as they design methods and strategies for teaching computer/technology concepts and skills within the context of classroom learning. | |
| 3. assist teachers as they use technology resources and strategies
to support the diverse needs of learners including adaptive and
assistive technologies. |

student learning in a technology-enhanced environment and support them
as they implement the strategies. |
|
| F. | Identify and apply instructional design principals associated with the development of technology resources. Candidates: |
|
1. assist teachers as they identify and apply instructional design principals associated with the development of technology resources. REFLECTIONS Collaborate and Cooperate should be the mantra of all teacher
librarians. Librarians have a daunting task of showing teachers what we
have to offer. The first step is to
cooperate: a teacher will bring a class
to the library and the librarian will pull together material that the students
can use in their research/project. However,
we strive for collaboration because collaboration is to work with another
person on a joint project where each person shares an equal amount of
responsibility. Sometimes, librarians
have to “sweeten the pot” to entice a teacher to work collaboratively. This was the case with our honors biology
teacher. I offered to create an
assignment and introduce it along with instructing the students on the use of
databases. She put me off all year until
June when she gave me the go ahead. The
attach artifact is the assignment I collaborated with her. The success was that after we finished
another teacher asked to do the same assignment. ![]()
